Our management team brings together decades of combined experience across pensions administration, benefits advisory, fund operations, and financial leadership. From scheme design and trustee services to investment oversight and member care, they guide NBC Ghana Trust with independence, discipline, and a long-term view of member outcomes.

Maxwell Appiah Danso

Chief Executive Officer

Maxwell has some 17 years of work experience in the pensions industry, with 13 of those years in leadership and management—covering scheme design and setups, scheme operationalization and administration, investments administration and management, trustee services, client acquisition and servicing. He was appointed CEO of NBC Ghana Trust in September 2023.

Ivan Smith Bentum

Head of Benefits Advisory

Ivan started his professional career as an analyst with private consultancy organisations. With over thirteen years of financial market experience, his professional focus has been market developments, investments, and management of pension funds. As Head of Benefits Advisory and Business Development, he leads pension fund advisory services, scheme design, and service standards at NBC Ghana Trust.

Francisca Naa Adjeley Sackey

Head of Compliance

Francisca Naa Adjeley Sackey is a seasoned pensions and compliance professional with over a decade of progressive experience in fund administration, accounting, and regulatory compliance. She joined NBC Ghana Trust in 2015 and, since 2020, has served as Compliance Manager, aligning operations with pension law, AML regulations, risk management, and corporate governance.

Kofi Asirifi Gyasi

Head of Fund Administration

Kofi Asirifi Gyasi is Head of Fund Administration at NBC Ghana Trust. A Chartered Accountant with an MBA in Finance, he graduated from the University of Cape Coast with a B.A. (Hons) in Economics and brings a disciplined operational background from roles including Senior Operations Manager at the Students Loan Trust Fund and Mines Coordinator at Allship Logistics Ltd.

Paul Afena

Finance Manager

Paul Afena is Finance Manager at NBC Ghana Trust with thirteen years of experience in senior management positions. A financial accountant by profession with a B.Sc. and MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School, he brings deep experience in financial reporting, auditing, taxation, and oil and gas management from roles spanning Opportunity International, Ayrton Drugs, and UBI Group.
